Welcome to the San Francisco Fringe Festival. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the San Francisco Fringe Festival mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.

San Francisco Fringe Festival The San Francisco Fringe Festival hosts around 250 performances by 50 local, national and international theatre companies over a whirlwind 12-day period. The range of material is huge, from classic theatre to comedy.
This is a non-curated fringe festival, which means that local performers are chosen through a public lottery, while national and international performers are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The upshot of this is that there is a democratic selection of what's out there, rather than theatre that has been selected. The risks and the rewards are equally balanced.
